Krezinski, Salvation Army Receive Volunteer Awards

Paris, Tenn.–A local organization dedicated to helping those in need and an extraordinary, long-time volunteer at the Henry County Sheriff’s Department were recognized today at the annual Paris-Henry County Volunteer Center Annual Appreciation Luncheon.
Awards were presented to John Krezinski for Volunteer of the Year and the Salvation Army.
Volunteer Center Director, Tara Wilson presented the award for Volunteer Site of the Year to the Salvation Army, a local organization who has been grounded in Henry County for many years and is devoted to helping those less fortunate.
Sheriff Monte Belew presented John Krezinski with the Volunteer of the Year. He is a long-time volunteer at the Henry County Sheriff’s Department who has volunteered 40-60 hours per week for many years, John was described by Sheriff Belew as “the hardest working county employee in Henry County and doesn’t get paid a dime. The Sheriff’s Office couldn’t do without him as he saves the county approximately $50,000 per year!”

According to Tara Wilson, “The hours these volunteers contribute are absolutely remarkable.  Their dedication to the organizations is very admirable.  Without the selfless contribution of their time and talents, many of the sites would be unable to continue providing such vital services to our community.” Volunteers within Paris and Henry County contributed approximately 40,000 hours of volunteer service in 2016.

The Volunteer Center is a joint project of the City of Paris and Henry County, administered by the Paris-Henry County Industrial Committee.
