Murray PD Officers Complete Training

 
Murray, Ky.–The Murray Police Department is recognizing Officer Daniel Burgdolf and Officer Justin Swope on their graduation from the Basic Training Academy at the Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) in Richmond, KY. Officers Burgdolf and Swope completed the 23 week training academy and are now fully certified as a peace officers. During the academy students identify, discuss, and demonstrate learning in many areas of performance required as a peace officer. These areas include patrol procedures, physical training, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, legal issues, traffic and DUI, criminal investigations, and tactical responses to crisis situations.
Officer Burgdolf received the Most Improved Physical Fitness award and Officer Swope received the Distinguished Graduate award. Both officers received Physical Fitness Excellence awards.
Congratulations to Officer Daniel Burgdolf and Officer Justin Swope as they now officially begin their careers as law enforcement officers with the Murray Police Department.
