Midway, Ky.—Hwy. 641 from the stateline into Murray will be shut down for at least another hour following a collision between a semi and a box truck earlier this morning. The accident occurred around Midway Rd.
The dispatcher at the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office told WENK/WTPR this morning it is not an injury accident but that “the semi and the box truck tried to occupy the same space at the same time”.
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. this morning and the road will remain blocked through mid-morning today.
A detour has been set up at Hazel for motorists traveling northbound.
The dispatcher said there will be some damage to the highway even after the road is open again. “That will be an aggravation to drivers, but we’ll have cones set up in that area,” he said.
