Paris, Tenn.—A Paris woman is being held in the Henry County Jail after her arrest on child abuse and neglect after she was found with two young children living in unsanitary conditions in a garage.
Marissa Spicer, age 23, of 3451 County Home Rd., is being held on $20,000 bond–$10,000 for each of two counts.
According to the report at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Spicer was found living in the garage with the children. Deputy David Andrews was responding to an assault complaint, but discovered the conditions which included garbage, soiled sheets and blankets in a crib, dirty diapers, kitchen knife and tools where the children were living.
Additionally, the report indicates there was no running water and no fresh food.
The Department of Children’s Services was brought into the case and the two children were placed in another home.
