Paris, Tenn.—Henry County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a County Home Rd. address last night on a report gun shots and were confronted with a rather confusing situation.
Deputy Blake Jenkins was called on the report of people yelling and gunshots at 3451 Co. Home Rd. and was assisted by Lt. Clyde Sulcer at the scene. They were told that the parents of a 15-year-old girl were upset because their daughter’s best friend called her a name and they apparently were confronting the girl.
According to the report, someone was reportedly assaulted during the confrontation. When questioned by deputies, they denied any shots were fired. When asked what the spent shell casings on the front porch were, they said they were old.
One of the people at the scene said he had been assaulted and was referred to EMS. He said he was hurt in the head and neck but, according to the report, refused treatment.
