Paris, Tenn.—The public can experience a life-sized replica of the Tabernacle in the Wilderness all this week at Eiffel Tower Park in Paris. It will be available for walking tours from Saturday, October 21, through Sunday, October 29.
The event is hosted by TVCC Minister Carlton Gerrell and several other local churches. Volunteers from the churches were hard at work all day Thursday setting up the display.
Gerrell told WENK/WTPR Thursday that the tickets are free, but are required so that a set time can be reserved. “We’re almost all sold out already,” he said.
The display shows the Tabernacle in the Wilderness as described in the Old Testament. It is an interactive and participatory experience for the whole family as you see, hear, feel and even smell what it was like in this part of Jewish history.
The experience lasts for about 45 minutes and is a self-guided walking tour.
