Early Morning Traffic Issues Addressed

Paris, Tenn.—The city of Paris has addressed the early morning traffic issues experienced this week at Volunteer and Patriot Avenues near Paris Elementary School.

According to a post on the city of Paris’ Facebook page this morning, “When Volunteer was milled and paved the traffic sensors were removed. The BPU is waiting on a few new sensors to arrive, hopefully by the first of next week, so they can be replaced. With no sensors, the signal has to be set to rotate between all directions on a timer. This will be corrected when the new sensors are in place, but in the meantime the Paris Police Department will be handling traffic control in the mornings beginning Friday morning and continuing until the sensors are in place. We are sorry for the frustration, hopefully things will be back to normal very soon!”
