Commodities To Be Distributed Next Week

 
 
Paris, Tenn.–The Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council announced today that U.S. Department of Agriculture commodities will be distributed to eligible area residents next week on Tuesday, October 24 and Wednesday, October 25.
 
The food will be distributed at Central School located at 55 Jones Bend Road Ext. in Paris.  Distribution will be between the hours of 9 a.m.
and 2 p.m.
 
Seniors age 60 and older will come Tuesday, October 24, 2017. If your last name begins with M-Z you will, also, come on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. If your last name begins with A-L you will come on Wednesday,
October 25, 2017.
 
Applicants should have a Purple Commodity Card. If you do not have a Purple card, please sign up no later than Friday, October 20.
 
Please do not line up cars any earlier than 8:30 a.m.
You will not need to come inside.
 
Eligibility is based on total household income not in excess of the state established maximum percentage of the poverty line for the appropriate household size. In addition, anyone receiving aid from one of the following programs is eligible for USDA commodities: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) (formerly know as Food Stamps), Families First, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or documented residence in public housing.
