Former White Sox Pitcher Dies In Tennessee ATV Accident

Humphreys County, Tenn. – Former Chicago White Sox MLB pitcher Daniel Webb died in an ATV accident in Humphreys County, Tenn.
Webb was a native of Paducah and a Heath High School graduate.
Police say Webb suffered a head trauma, and three others were injured including his wife who sustained significant injuries.
Two are in serious condition in a Nashville hospital.

Webb played for the White Sox from 2013 to 2016.

“Daniel left many friends within the Chicago White Sox organization, and we are all shocked and stunned by the news of last night’s terrible accident,” the White Sox said in a statement Sunday night to the USA TODAY NETWORK-Tennessee. “He was a terrific young man with a full life ahead of him. All thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends as they deal with today’s tragic news.”
