Martin, Tenn. – Mike Moss, of Arlington, and Joe Exum, of Martin (center), received alumni awards Oct. 7 during UT Martin Homecoming. Moss received the Outstanding Alumni Award, and Exum received the Chancellor’s Award for University Service. Moss is a retired educator and is past president of the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association. Exum served 23 years as chairman of the board of Leland Powell Fasteners in Martin and has held several volunteer positions with UT Martin and the University of Tennessee. The awards were presented during the Chancellor’s Homecoming Brunch and Alumni Awards Program held at the university’s Paul Meek Library. Joining Moss and Exum following the Saturday morning presentations were (left) UT Martin Chancellor Keith Carver and Betsy Brasher, of Memphis, a senior vice president with First Tennessee Bank and president of the UT Alumni Association.
