Paris, Tenn.—A 74-year-old rural Paris woman was treated and released from Henry County Medical Center after she was struck by a car at a downtown Paris intersection Thursday. Judy Downs of Mays Bridge Rd. was crossing West Wood Street when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Sandra Jessee, age 52, of Huntingdon, at the Market Street intersection. Jessee was cited for failure to yield right of way. She was transported to the hospital by Henry County EMS where she was released later the same day.
