Convicted Felon Found With Loaded Weapon

Union City, Tenn.—A convicted felon was arrested for possession of a weapon—a loaded weapon—as he sat in a car behind the East Gate housing complex in Union City.
 
Union City Police were walking toward a Cadillac parked behind the complex Thursday to talk to the driver about loud music and they saw Theron Albea, age 41, of 622 Vine St., Union City, stuffing something in the seat.
 
During a search, they found a High Point .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun under the seat, fully loaded with 10 rounds of hollow point ammo including a round in the chamber.
 
The police report noted that Albea has multiple felony convictions, including burglary, felony theft, multiple drug possession arrests including possession of heroin on his record.
 
He was arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
