Dresden, Tenn.—A Union City man is among five people arrested on charges of possession of meth after members of the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office and Dresden Police executed a search warrant at a Dresden residence Wednesday evening. Two of those arrested also were charged with child endangerment.
The warrant was executed at 115 W. Locust St.
Thirty-five (35) grams of meth with a street value of $100 per gram were recovered from inside the house and inside a vehicle on the property, along with pipes used to consume the meth.
A small child inside the house was released to one of the arrested person’s parents. Two of the people ran from the house as officers made entry, but were located a short time later. Both also are charged with evading arrest. The parents of the child are charged with child endangerment.
Weakley County Sheriff’s Captain Randall McGowan said the house is within 1,000 feet of the Headstart School.
The Department of Children’s Services was notified about the small child.
McGowan noted this is the second search warrant executed at the same house this year.
Arrested were Matthew Culver, age 29, Union City, and Lindsey Ricketts, age 31, Martin, charged with possession of meth with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia andevading arrest.
Jason Tackett, age 38, and Jessica Graham, age 33, both of Dresden, both charged with possession of meth, paraphernalia and child endangerment.
Sabrina Turnbo, age 31, Dresden, charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia.
