A Union City woman is wanted for aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend Wednesday night.

Union City Police were called to Baptist Memorial Hospital around 9:45 Wednesday night and spoke with the 59-year-old victim, who told officers that he and his girlfriend, 60-year-old Linda Earl Fitzgerald, had been drinking all day and then began arguing.

The victim said he decided to go to bed and while he was sleeping when Fitzgerald stabbed him with a sharp object causing a severe laceration on his right forearm.

The victim woke up and saw Fitzgerald standing over him with the sharp object in her hand and told him, “That’s what you get.”

A neighbor drove the victim to the emergency room where he received eight stitches from the laceration.

A warrant for aggravated assault has been issued for Fitzgerald.
