Union City Police are investigating a drive-by shooting Wednesday night on Oakshire Road.
Officers arrived at a residence and spoke with the victim who told officers she was driving home from Walmart on East Reelfoot Avenue around 8:00 and as she was approaching Oakshire Road, she noticed a man in a brown four-door car beside her acting strange.
The victim said the man, whom she described as a white male with brown hair and in his thirties, pulled up next to her and was laughing hysterically and making strange motions with his hands.
The man followed the victim onto Oakshire Road with his vehicle closely trailing the victim.
The victim told officers she pulled into her driveway and into her garage and quickly began closing the garage door.
As the garage door was closing, she says she heard a loud banging noise.
She saw a bottle of bubbles leaking and noticed the garage door had damage from a bullet.
Officers collected evidence, including bullet fragments, from the scene.
The shooting remains under investigation.
