McKenzie, Tenn.–The Bethel University Renaissance Quartet recently had the opportunity to sing at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson, with Gospel Music Legend Bill Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band.
“WOW! What a night!,” Gaither said. “It gives me great hope and joy seeing young people not only doing what they love, but singing Gospel Music. The Renaissance Program at Bethel University takes such a unique approach in how they create experiences for their students. Gloria and I have always had a great passion for education, and what they are doing in McKenzie, Tennessee, is special, and that was evident on stage.”
Renaissance, the Bethel University Performing Arts Experience, showcases the Vocal, Instrumental, Theatrical and Technical talents of Bethel students. “We strive to empower our students to uplift, inspire, and entertain through Ministry and performance opportunities,” commented Matthew Holt, Executive Director. “Whether it is singing or acting in front of thousands of people, operating a soundboard, building a set for a musical, or playing a wide variety of instruments, we will provide an experience that will prepare you for your future. Our approach provides hands on learning that gets students out of the classroom and out into the field.”
