Union City, Tenn.—The pilot of a crop duster that crashed this morning in Obion County survived the crash without injuries, according to Obion County 911 Executive Director Sherri Hanna.
The crop duster aircraft crashed in a field near Troy Rd. around 9:30 am. this morning and Obion County EMA, sheriff’s deputies, Union City Fire Department and other first responders were immediately called to the scene.
Hanna told WENK/WTPR that the pilot “is in good shape. He was able to get out and he was not injured” following the accident. No hazardous materials were spilled as a result of the crash, she said.
She said the pilot was carrying wheat feed in the crop duster at the time of the crash and no hazardous materials were involved.
