Union City, Tenn.—A warrant has been issued for Andre Oneil Fitzgerald of 533 Nash St., Union City, on a charge of aggravated assault following a disturbance that began late last night and into the early morning hours.
Union City Police were called to Nash St. on a disturbance call and found a black male fleeing on foot, then saw a woman on the ground with blood coming from her elbow. She refused to give a statement and said she and her husband had an argument and she slipped and fell.
A little after midnight, the victim called police and said Fitzgerald pulled a gun, threatened her, struck her in the left side of the head, and tried to drag her from the house. Police observed the bruise and swelling on her head and the bruise on her arm. She told police when Fitzgerald pulled the gun on her, she grabbed a knife and cut him.
