Advanced Extrication Course Held In Huntingdon

Huntingdon, Tenn.—Over Friday through Sunday of the weekend, the Huntingdon Fire and Rescue hosted
an Advanced Extrication Course instructed by Instructors of the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads.

The fire and rescue workers were learning about advanced methods of rescue in multiple vehicles, vehicles on top of vehicles and other scenarios. Members enrolled in the training were from Carroll County, Dickson County, Benton County, Wilson County, Hardin County, Ethridge Fire Department and Huntingdon Fire & Rescue.

Dennis Bush of Huntingdon provided the scrap vehicles used in the training and provided a building for it. The Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads stores equipment in a trailer that is kept at the Benton County Rescue Squad. TARS also has a similar trailer stationed in east Tennessee.
