Paris, Tenn.—A steady stream of people were visiting the Enoch Building at the Henry County Fairgrounds Tuesday night, checking out whose entries received what color of ribbons.
There were plenty of the most coveted purple ribbons, indicating Best of Show, on display with their entries.
Best of Show winners are: Youth Field Crop, Dallas Bomar; Adult Field Crop, Donovan Green; Youth Garden, Mason Green; Plants, Bobby Owens; Photography, adult, Michael Grace, youth, Slayden Hosford; Gourd Art, Donna Revelee; Quilt, Jennifer Long; Domestic Arts, Carol Bomar; Youth Hobby, Lucas Ackerman; Youth baking, Kierra Brewer; primary hobby, Vivian Dunn; Youth crafts, Avery Dicus.
And the Best of the Best in baking was awarded to Margaret Gallimore, bread; Carolyn Schoolfield, cornbread; Lorraine Hamilton, cake; and Martha Taylor, pie.
The first-ever talent show was held, with Emcees Andrea and Ervin Dutton. Winners were: first, Kaelin Wade with his clogging; second, Sloane Russell, age 9, with her singing; and third, Paul Wade, also with a clogging routine.
Judges were Jeff and Lucy Presson and Elizabeth and Jason Wade.
Wednesday will be another busy day at the fair, with the commercial exhibits opening, Old Country Store opening, a gospel show, puppet show and kiddie tractor pull.
