Tennessee Ridge, Tenn.—Houston County authorities have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Tennessee Ridge man who has been missing since noon yesterday.
Houston County sheriff’s office dispatch early this morning said James P. Downey, age 84, is still missing. The dispatcher said the sheriff’s office has received no tips on his whereabouts.
Downey left his residence in Tennessee Ridge headed toward Arkansas and the dispatcher said he has not reached his destination. Downey is insulin dependent and has dementia. He does not have any medication or insulin with him.
Downey will be driving a 2013 Dodge Avalon, silver in color, with TN tag 6770DD7. He also has a gun carry permit and may have a weapon with him.
He should be traveling through Waverly and Memphis. He may travel through Conway, Arkansas enroute to Warren,Arkansas. Please contact 931-289-2911 with any information on Mr. Downey.
He is a white male, 6 feet tall, 250 pounds, green eyes, gray hair.
