Union City, Tenn.—By a unanimous 19-0 vote, the Obion County Commission approved a 20-year abatement for the Tyson Co. expansion project. As announced last week, the $84 M expansion project is expected to bring some 500 new jobs to the area.
County Mayor Benny McGuire praised the Tyson Co.’s commitment to the area. Tyson has been located in Union City for 20 years.
