Paris, Tenn.—Multiple agencies responded to a serious accident this afternoon on Hwy. 79S between Paris and McKenzie, with at least one person airlifted to an area hospital. The accident reportedly involved a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle.
Multiple troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, at least three ambulances (two from McKenzie and one from Henry County), McKenzie Police, McKenzie Fire and Rescue, and TDOT responded to the scene.
An air ambulance landed at the scene around 4:18 p.m. and the northbound lane of the highway was blocked for a considerable amount of time.
