DeShannon To Be Inducted Into Hall Of Fame

 
Somerset, Ky.—Jackie DeShannon of Hazel will be one of the newest members of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame.
Officials with the Hall of Fame announced the 2018 inductees Wednesday.
In addition to DeShannon, this year’s Hall of Fame class includes: Billy Ray Cyrus, David “Stringbean” Akeman, Dale Ann Bradley, Bobby Lewis and Jason Crabb.
The induction ceremony will take place May 11, 2018, in Somerset.
DeShannon, from the tiny town of Hazel on the Kentucky-Tennessee border, shot to fame with her song, “Put A Little Love in Your Heart”.
