A Drive-Through At Family Video?

By Shannon McFarlin WENK/WTPR News Director
Paris, Tenn.—Family Video in Paris has an open air quality to it this morning after an SUV crashed through the side of the building and shattered the entire plate glass from top to bottom late last night.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the accident. But, the local manager camped out in the facility last night to guard it since there was a gaping hole in the building all night.
And again, there was more luck involved: The accident occurred around 10 p.m. when there were no customers on hand and employees were getting ready to close the business for the night.
Managers said the employee was not injured at all—she was in the middle of the business when the Nissan XTerra drove through.
The driver of the SUV is from Paris and was uninjured but the Henry County EMS was called to the scene just in case.
The report from the Paris Police Department does not indicate a cause for the accident.
Managers at Family Video said, even without the plate glass side in place, the business will open at 11 a.m. today as usual. Although, without air conditioning overnight, it will be much warmer than usual in there for awhile today.
