Pair Found With $30,000, Drugs, Guns

Paris, Tenn.—Drugs, weapons, a truck and $30,000 was seized and charges were filed from two convicted felons during a traffic stop in Paris Monday.
Arrested was John Adam Hoskins, age 33, of 1407 Chickasaw, and Chris Love, age 37, of 1550 Hwy. 69S, both of Paris. Both were charged with being a felon in possession of weapons, being a felon in possession of meth, simple possession, possession of meth with intent, possession of cocaine with intent, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The pair were stopped by Patrolman Amber Roaten on Curtis Street on a window tint violation. During the course of the stop, Roaten asked for and received consent to search the 2010 black Chevy pickup truck.
Lt. Michael Ramos and his K9 Kenzee were on the scene and Kenzee alerted to the areas behind and under the driver’s seat. A backpack was found which contained $30,000 in cash, multiple pills and drug paraphernalia. Also found was a felony amount of meth, a felony amount of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, a revolver and shotgun.
According to the press release from the Paris Police Investigator Jeramye Whitaker, both Hoskins and Love are convicted felons. The truck and $30,000 believed to be drug proceeds were seized.
Bonds in the amount of $25,000 apiece were set for the pair and both had bonded out of jail as of Tuesday morning.
