Paris, Tenn.—A 43-year-old woman from Henry County was struck and killed late Saturday night on Hwy. 79N.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol accident report, Ms. Raymer was on the roadway near 9034 Hwy. 79N when she was struck by a 2007 Nissan sedan driven by James Davis, age 75, around 11:20 p.m.
According to the report released to WENK/WTPR, neither Davis nor his passenger, Kay Davis, age 73, were injured. The report does not indicate where the Davis couple is from.
Local law enforcement officials said that Ms. Raymer may have been chasing an animal on the roadway when she was struck.

Highway Patrol reports that are released to the media do not indicate whether charges are filed.
Trooper Jason Mounts investigated the accident.
Funeral arrangements for Ms. Raymer are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris, but were incomplete on Sunday.
