Paris, Tenn.—Long-time Henry County Medical Center Board Chairman Phil Wichlan Thursday night announced he will be stepping down from the position in five months, meaning the board will begin 2018 with a new chairman.
At his request, the board last night elected him to serve another five months as chairman. Wichlan has served on the board for 27 years and as chair since 1991.
The board elected Dr. Scott Whitby to serve another term as vice chairman.
In addition, with County Commissioner James Travis resigning from the county commission, another commissioner will be appointed to fill the county’s seat on the board.
