From the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office: Subject has been located and is back in custody. Sheriff Steger would like to thank everyone for their tips and assistance in locating Mr. Caldwell.
Murray, Ky.—The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in locating a prisoner who escaped from the Murray-Calloway County Hospital while he was in recovery after surgery.
Ray Perry Caldwell escaped Monday night around 8 p.m. According to the press release from the sheriff’s office, he was seen exiting the south entrance of the hospital, wearing a hospital gown and purple cap.
Later, Caldwell was discovered to be at Huck’s gas station a few blocks away and at that point, he was wearing shorts/boxers with no shirt.
Caldwell has a large injury to his arm which is bandaged. He is 6’1” and weighs 185 pounds.
Anyone having any contact or sightings of Caldwell is encouraged to call 911. Do not approach Caldwell as he is an escaped prisoner.
