Martin, Tenn.—A Martin man was arrested early this morning in possession of a stolen handgun following shots fired.
Nigel Manley, age 20, was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon and possession of stolen property.
Patrolman Adam Harrison responded to 52 Lakeview Circle on a report of shots fired. When he arrived, he found Manley lying on his stomach under a car parked in the yard. According to the report, when Manley stood up, a black EAA .357 magnum with one round in the cylinder was lying on the ground where he had been.
A check with NCIC determined that the gun was stolen from a man from Louisiana.
