Paris, Tenn.—Is your criminal record holding you back? There is an upcoming opportunity for non-conviction misdemeanors to be expunged in Henry County.
The Tennessee Faith & Justice Alliance in conjunction with the First United Methodist Church, Judge Vicki Snyder, Court Clerk Mike Wilson and his staff and the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers are hosting a Free Expungement Clinic on Saturday, August 12, at the Henry County Courthouse from 9 am until 12 pm.
Supreme Court Justice Roger Page will be on hand to deliver opening remarks at the clinic.
Non-conviction misdemeanor records will be expunged at no cost, and free lawyers will be available to answer questions at no cost. Participation is limited to the first 75 individuals who apply. Pre-registration is mandatory. Applications can be picked up and dropped off at the General Sessions Clerk’s office, the W.G. Rhea Library or at the First United Methodist Church.
