Union City, Tenn.—A Dresden man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop in Union City Thursday night.

Jimmie Kilburn, age 59, of 4485 Palmersville Rd., was charged with possession of crystal meth and drug paraphernalia by Union City Police. Police seized the SUV he was driving, which was owned by his sister, because Kilburn was found with a felony amount of meth in his possession.

Kilburn was stopped in the 2000 block of North Everett by officers who had dealt with him before on other meth charges. When asked if he was still messing around with meth, Kilburn said no. Kilburn was asked what was in his pocket and he said just change.

When the policeman began to touch his pocket, Kilburn reportedly pushed his hand away. The officer said he could feel contraband in his pocket.

Officers found a bag containing 1.64 grams of meth and according to the report, Kilburn began crying and said he was not going to smoke it, he was going to sell it to make some money. Police also found a brown bag with a new pipe and an old pipe with heavy meth residue.
