Murray Man Leaps From Balcony To Evade Police

Murray, Ky.—A Murray man was arrested on multiple charges after he leapt from a second floor balcony to evade police.
Ray Caldwell, age 29, was charged with giving police false identifying information, second-degree fleeing, possession of drug paraphernalia, first degree possession of meth, and two citations for contempt of court.
At 11 p.m. Wednesday night, Murray Police Officers Wiggins and David attempted to serve two arrest warrants issued by the Calloway County District Court on Caldwell. Officers learned of his location and attempted to serve the warrants at the apartment where he was, which was on the second floor of an apartment building.
Upon knocking on the door, the officers spoke to an individual they believed to be Caldwell, but he provided a different name. While officers were verifying his identity, he ran out of the apartment and jumped from the balcony. After a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended him two blocks away.
After he was in custody, officers found drug paraphernalia along with a pipe with white residue that field tested positive for meth.
