Paris, Tenn.–Funeral services have been set for Oakland Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Jonathan Robert “Jon” Barron, age 31 of Paris, who died Thursday, July 20. Barron also worked for the Henry County EMS, was farm manager at Chuck Hayes’ Farm in Paris and was a U.S. Navy veteran who received several commendations.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris, with Andy Harrell and Josh Strader officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 24, and continue from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Family members will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Pleasant Chapel Cemetery in Huntingdon County, Indiana.
A graveside service with military rites will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Chapel Cemetery in Roanoke, IN, with burial to follow.

He was born on December 3, 1985, in Ft. Wayne, IN. He is survived by his father, Jamie (Connie) Barron of Paris, TN, and his mother Jo Ann (Todd) Stetzel of Churubusco, IN.
Along with his parents, he is also survived by two sons, Eli Barron and Hunter Barron, both of Paris, TN; the mother of his children, Tosha Barron of Paris, TN; three sisters, Amanda (Tony) Troendly of Churubusco, IN, Amber (Phil) Fink of Warsaw, IN, and Jacci Baxter of Paris, TN; two brothers, Chip Barron of Paris, TN, and Jason (Shelly) Barron of LaOtto, IN; three nieces, Macy Barron, Morgan Barron, and Caroline Barron; three nephews, Sam Troendly, Joey Troendly, and Jameson Barron; and his fiancée Cindy Lawton and her son, Connor Lawton.
