Paris, Tenn.—The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death which initially appeared to be a traffic fatality.
The body of Jonathan Barron, age 31, of 334 Old Union Loop Rd., has been sent to Nashville for an autopsy.
Deputy James Sanders was called to Old Union Loop Rd. early this morning and found Barron deceased in the car, with the car roof crushed down, causing extreme trauma to the driver. The Tennessee Highway Patrol was notified and the Henry County Rescue Squad was placed on stand by to extricate the driver.
County Death Investigator Danny Tucker told WENK/WTPR this morning that the investigation into the death by his office continues.
The case is also under investigation by Lt. Scott Wyrick of the sheriff department’s Criminal Investigation Division and the THP.
