Paris, Tenn.—For the 22nd year, Paris Karate is holding a “Kata Thon” all this week to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
The “Kata Thon” is a week-long event, all this week through Saturday, July 22, in which students perform their kata techniques. This year’s theme is “Children Helping Children”.
Students can ask family, friends, businesses, etc. to sponsor them by pledging money for each kata performed. Or sponsors can simply donate a set amount.
Students set a goal and perform a certain number of kata each of the six days.
