Union City, Tenn.—A Union City man has been arrested on charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault after he allegedly hit and kept his girlfriend captive in the early morning hours Sunday.
Tyler S. Jordan, age 21, arrived at his home at 2810 Lynn St. around 2 a.m. drunk. According to the police report, he and the victim argued, which escalated and he struck her in the face with his fist, then threatened her with two kitchen knives and held her captive for two hours.
She had injuries to her lip and nose and was taken to the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
