"Puppy Party" For Shelter Set For Saturday

Paris, Tenn.—A local woman thought of a unique way to celebrate her dog’s birthday and raise money and items for the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Animal Shelter at the same time.
Ryan Cross is hosting a birthday party for her dog, Atlas, who is turning one year old from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 22, at the Eiffel Tower Park.
To celebrate, she is asking everyone to bring a bag of dog food or a toy to donate to the shelter.
Sheriff Monte Belew will be bringing his K9 Si to the party and the shelter may be bringing some of the dogs that are up for adoption to the party, too.
Cross will have ‘pupcakes’ and treats for the doggies, plus a cake and cookies for their humans.
