Paris, Tenn.—As promised a few years ago, the Vanderbilt Air Methods air ambulance will be constructing a headquarters at the Henry County Airport.
The Henry County Commission Monday authorized a lease agreement for the Meadows Family Real Estate Partnership, which will construct an airplane hangar facility at the airport.
In discussion prior to the vote, County Mayor Brent Greer noted, “We’ve spent several months working this out” and that County Attorney Rob Whitfield had handled the lease agreement.
The Air Evac air ambulance constructed a headquarters and hangar for their helicopters at the airport in 2015.
It is expected that the Vanderbilt Air Methods hangar will be situated near the Air Evac facility.
