Buchanan, Tenn.—Have you ever wanted to get close and personal with a Bald Eagle? Over 75 people did just that Thursday evening at Paris Landing State Park when Abe the Bald Eagle made an appearance. Abe is about five years old now and lives at Reelfoot State Park, where he was rehabilitated after being found with a broken wing on a sandbar in the Mississippi. Paris Landing Ranger Brandon Williams and employee Amy O’Brien showed the Bald Eagle to crowds from 6 p.m. until dusk at the park and fielded questions from everyone. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
