Union City, Tenn.—A Union City church donation box was vandalized in an apparent attempt to steal money.
Union City Police were called to Immaculate Conception Church at 1303 E. Reelfoot Ave. on a report of the vandalism. The caretaker said she checks the donation box each morning and found a knife stuck in it. The knife was taken for evidence and police will be reviewing video surveillance tapes from the church.
