New Concord, Ky.—The elderly man who is missing from his home in New Concord has been spotted a couple of times today, miles from his home.
John Daniel Webb, age 81, was last seen by his son at 11 a.m. Tuesday. A Golden Alert was issued yesterday by the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office for the gentleman.
Chief Deputy Nicky Knight told WENK/WTPR this afternoon that Webb was positively spotted in Ardmore, Tennessee, at 8 a.m. this morning. “He stopped at a gas station and the man who helped him pump his gas gave me a positive ID on him,” Knight said.
Further tracking of Webb found his credit card being used in Oxford, Alabama, later today, Knight said.
Webb is driving a tan 1998 Buick LeSabre with Kentucky plate 009-DXY. Officials said he has medical issues and may be confused as to his whereabouts.
He is described as 6 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has gray hair and light eyes and regularly wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a red and black shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.
Anyone with information on Mr. Webb is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 270-753-3151.
