Buchanan, Tenn.—In addition to the traditional fireworks, there are plenty of activities planned for Tuesday, July 4 at Paris Landing State Park.
Craft activities for children will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the picnic shelter in the park and at 1 p.m. tadpole kickball will be played at the campgrounds.
The Paris Landing Inn restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A DJ will be playing music at the pavilion starting at 4 p.m. and food vendors will be set up. A beer tent also will be there, with $20 armbands available for all-you-can drink draft beer. Or you can pay by the drink.
The swim beach area will be closed to the public beginning at 2 p.m. to make way for setting up the fireworks and will be reopened Wednesday morning. The annual fireworks display begins at dark and draws huge crowds who watch from the park, on the water and from the bridge. The fireworks display is always organized by the Jaycees.
