McKenzie, Tenn.- – New industry is coming to McKenzie.
A public announcement will be made at 1:30 p.m. Friday, at the Carroll County Airport. The announcement is being hosted by the McKenzie Industrial Development Board and the City of McKenzie.
New Executive Director of the McKenzie Industrial Board Frank Tate said the new industry is a company relocating from another state to Carroll County.
The Industrial Board, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, West Tennessee Industrial Association, and local utility companies worked on this project for several months to bring it to fruition, Tate said.
Tate started his tenure with McKenzie Industrial Board on March 1, after working in a similar position as an industrial recruiter/consultant in western Kentucky for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Tate replaces Billy Barksdale, who recently retired after 20 years.
Carroll County Airport is located at 535 Airport Ln, McKenzie.
