By Shannon McFarlin WENK/WTPR News Director

Paris, Tenn.—The man who has been sought by law enforcement officers throughout west Tennessee for the past few weeks was caught last night in Paris and is being held in the Henry County Jail.
J.D. Hill of 105 Harbor Circle, New Johnsonville, was arrested at Terrace Woods Lodge at 1190 N. Market St., around 2:45 a.m. today, by Paris Police. Details are still sketchy as the police report was not complete early this morning.
New charges filed against Hill include simple possession, criminal impersonation, possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held without bond in the Henry County Jail for all the charges that still await him in other counties, including Humphreys and Carroll Counties.
Humphreys Co. Sheriff Chris Davis and Carroll Co. Sheriff Andy Dickson recently posted a reward of $1,000 for Hill’s arrest. In an earlier statement, David said, “I have to complement all the hard work by all the officers and detectives involved in these horrific crimes that Hill and others have committed. Now he and all involved need to answer for what’s been done to these fine elderly folks in our communities.”
Hill is a suspect in two home invasions, the first in Carroll Co. that sent a 96-year-old woman to the hospital and the second one in Humphreys in which an 80-year-old was hurt.
He was tracked in Benton and other counties for several days, with officers using K9s, the U.S. Marshall Service and the Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter.
