Union City, Tenn.—Obion County Deputies on Saturday located and arrested the suspect in a series of incidents which occurred on a couple of occasions earlier in the month. In those incidents, the suspect drove across a busy roadway in Union City, drove in between houses and in the backyard of another house in a residential area and almost caused collisions with other vehicles.

He was located on Martin Luther King Dr. around 1 p.m. by Deputy Mitchell Maynard.
Wallsmith had earlier fled from Union City Police on two occasions after two incidents which occurred June 4 and June 16.
In the last incident, police saw Wallsmith driving by and attempted to stop him at Bishop St. and S. Sunswept Dr. Wallsmith did not stop and continued across E. Reelfoot Ave. without stopping or slowing down for oncoming traffic.
According to the report, Wallsmith then ran the stop sign at Stone St. and Pleaasant Ave., almost causing a collision with another vehicle.  He then drove between two houses on Hillcrest St., then drove vehicle other houses, continued down the driveway of 1321 Honeysuckle St. and into the back yard of that residence. He then crashed his vehicle into a large ditch and left the scene on foot.
