Paris, Tenn.—Meeting in special session Thursday afternoon, the Paris City Commission approved the 2018 Fiscal Year budget and a new property tax rate for the city.
The new property tax rate is $ .73 per hundred dollars of assessed valuation on all taxable properties and will be effective immediately.
Also approved was the budget which calls for general fund revenues totaling $13M and total general fund expenditures of $12.7M.
The commission also approved the new zoning ordinance governing home occupations which has been reviewed over several meetings by the city commission and the planning commission.
