Union City, Tenn.—One person has been arrested and warrants issued on another following vandalism and burglary of a Union City car wash. More charges are expected on both, with similar incidents reported in Brownsville, Dyersburg, Martin and Humboldt.
Arrested is Shannon Rushing of Trimble. He is charged with two counts of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of meth, possession of weapons, possession of marijuana, possession of burglary tools, vandalism and burglary.
Warrants have been issued for Angela Blackburn of Newburn on charges of theft, burglary, forcible entry, possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools.
The pair allegedly broke into and caused damage at the EZ Clean Car Wash in Union City and caused $3,332 worth of damage.
According to the police report, Rushing’s case was turned over to the Obion County Grand Jury and his car has been seized.
