Paris, Tenn.—A Paris man was arrested on drug charges after a search warrant was executed at his home on Joy Street Tuesday night by the Metro Crime Unit, the Paris Police Department’s FAST Team and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Paris Police Investigator Jeramye Whitaker told WENK/WTPR Wednesday that the officers used two distraction devices to gain entry into the home, which caused two loud explosions to be heard by neighbors. The search was conducted around 9 p.m.
Arrested was Jermaine Crawford of 709 Joy Street. Found at the home was 89 grams of high grade marijuana and 30 Alprazolam pills, along with digital scales. He was arrested for possession with intent to manufacture and sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Crystal Riter was also cited for simple possession.
Officers also seized $185 in possible drug proceeds.
