Gibson Electric Membership Corporation will have a planned outage Thursday night at midnight.
The outage is expected to take about an hour and is required to repair damage caused by the March 9 tornado to the Hickman substation. 883 members served by the substation will be affected including those in and around Hickman, Cayce, Brownsville, and the lower bottom.
Spokesperson Rita Alexander says Gibson EMC has attempted to contact by telephone members who will be affected and that the work crew’s ability to do this work is weather dependent; so if there is inclement weather, the work will be delayed.
